Recommendation of Nomination Committee for the 2026 Chair-Elect IEEE India Council

The Nomination Committee of IEEE India Council met on 16 September 2025 to deliberate on the 2026 Chair-Elect, IEEE India Council.

After a detailed review of the activities and performance of the IEEE India Council under the leadership of the present Chair, Prof. Prerna Gaur, the Committee unanimously recommends the extension of her tenure as Chair, IEEE India Council, for an additional one-year term, in accordance with Article III, Section 2 of the India Council Bylaws.

Consequent to this recommendation, the tenure of the current Chair-Elect, Prof. Preeti Bajaj, shall also stand extended by one year, and she will continue to serve as Chair-Elect, IEEE India Council, for the year 2026.
