This year, IAYPSC has outlined an ambitious plan to conduct a series of events and initiatives that foster a strong connection between the industrial sector and academic institutions. These activities include:
Organizing IEEE India Council Regional Industry-Academia Conclaves (5 to 6 events) across the nation, bringing together industry experts, academicians, and young professionals for meaningful discussions and networking opportunities.
Assigning industry mentors to students and academic mentors to young faculty, encouraging knowledge exchange and professional growth.
Streamlining internships under IEEE to provide valuable hands-on experience for students and young professionals in their respective fields.
Exploring the possibility of hosting job fairs in collaboration with Sections and Industry partners, offering employment opportunities to IEEE members.
Launching certification courses aimed at increasing the employability of IEEE student volunteers and Young Professionals.
Arranging visits from industry personnel to academic campuses for invited talks, training workshops, and summer and winter schools, enhancing the skillset and employability of students.
Creating a pool of industry volunteers who can share best practices and valuable insights with young professionals and engineering graduates.
Facilitating Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandums of Cooperation (MoC) with interested universities and industry houses to establish long-term partnerships.
Exploring the Professor of Practice policy of AICTE with support from Industry experts, aiming to bring practical knowledge and industry experience into academia.
Acting as a central hub to support sections in fostering Industry-Academia collaboration activities, promoting innovation, and driving economic development.
